A group gathered to scratch the surface of the future splash pad in the southwest park next to the wading pool. They included Janette Bower, George Deiss, Dean Krogstad, Sandy Black, Deb Wiese, Sara Ross, Mark Lunde, Mike Pete, Larry DeWald and Dan Kovar. With the work to begin soon, completion could be done in August.

County Highway 4 along Mason Brothers in Wadena is closed to through traffic until further notice from Harry Rich Drive to Third Street NE. The roadway was left gravel last fall after reconstruction was delayed. It's now in poor driving condition from the rain and snow melt.
