Bob Tubandt has sold Lyle's Shoe Store in Wadena after working there for 58 years. He's owned the store 40 years and said quality staff providing quality customer service have kept people coming back all these years.

The Wadena Veterans Memorial includes walls of names of veterans who have passed. Over 5,000 names cover the walls, and more are engraved on pavers and benches around the park. A fundraiser is planned for the park Sept. 22 to raise money for further additions there.
