Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in all Lions District 5M9 school districts were eligible to create an 18x 24"poster. The subject could be on drug or alcohol prevention, awareness, stopping violence, volunteering, citizenship, or any aspect of life and growing up.
Honorees from Northern State University, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, University of Minnesota Crookston and North Dakota State University.
Following the two weeks, the requirement adjusts based on the transmission percentage returning to below 3%. Face coverings are recommended, but not required, at the elementary school.
By the 2023-2024 school year, school officials want to start transitioning the entire elementary to an outdoor, play-and-inquiry-based, environment-focused school.

Districts have prioritized in-person learning throughout this school year, and hope to continue this learning model as long as possible. Students and staff being sick, including with COVID-19 and the flu, have impacted staffing, keeping up with assignments and transporting students to school and activities.

The elementary school added Mary Ellenson as student success coordinator at the start of this school year, along with morning meetings and additional curriculum to create common vocabulary, unity and encourage discussion about emotions.
If the Supreme Court decides to remove the requirements, the WDC policy would not go into place.
