Wolverine Scramble draws 24 teams to Whitetail Run

A field of 24 teams competed Friday at Whitetail Run Golf Course in the ninth annual Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverine Scramble.

The team of Jeff Browne, John Burns, Randy Tappe and John Paulson won a playoff with the team of Sarah Tabery, Ryan Coyle, Kacy Kachelmyer and Laura Sundal. Both teams finished with 60 in the 18-hole event.

The team of Joe Schmidt, Doug Schmidt, Larry Pulju and Corby Pulju placed third. Missy Tabery and her team of Tim Bjorge, Larae Bjorge and Jeff Halland tied the team of Donny Tabery, Andrew Browne, Matt Hagen and Aaron Kern for fourth place.

The scramble raised $5,800 for WDC athletics.

The 2015 tournament is slated for a shotgun start at noon, Friday, June 12, at Whitetail Run.
