The Wadena-Deer Creek volleyball team suffered its second straight loss on the road when they were defeated by Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 25-20, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-23 on Sept. 3 in Dilworth.

The Rebels were led by Maria Watt and her 13 kills. Payton Wilson finished with seven blocks and six ace serves as the Rebels defeated the Wolverines. Mariah Iwen added 18 set assists and Ellie Seidler finished with eight kills to help the Rebels in the home win.

Kennedy Gravelle finished with 18 kills, while Madison Carsten added 10 kills. Carsten led the way with nine digs as well. MacKenzie Carsten finished with 34 set assists in the loss for Wadena-DC.

The loss dropped the Wolverines to 1-2 on the season, while DGF improved to 2-0 on the new season.

The Wolverines are back in action when they begin Park Region Conference play on Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wadena-DC High School gymnasium.
