The Menahga Braves continued their run to perfection with a 71-29 victory over the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in a Park Region Conference girls basketball game on Feb. 13.
The Braves used a balanced attack, rushing out to a 52-16 first half lead and cruising in the second half to the road win.

Wadena-DC senior Casey Volkmann joined the 1,000 point club in the win. She became the 10th Wadena-DC girls basketball player to accomplish that feat. She finished with seven points, eclipsing the mark in the first half.

Kennedy Gravelle added seven points as well for the Wolverines.
Cierra Ahlf led the Braves with 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. She was one of three players in double figures for the Braves. Alyssa Peterson and Megan Hendrickson finished with 15 points each.
Menahga improved to 22-0 overall and 14-0 in the Park Region Conference. The Wolverines fell to 7-16 overall and 6-7 in conference.
The Wolverines are back in action on Friday, Feb. 16 when they travel to Sebeka to take on the Trojans as part of a girls and boys basketball doubleheader. The girls are set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
