Heather Theisen qualified for a Class AA state tournament trip Tuesday in the Section 6AA meet at Blackberry Ridge.
The Wadena-Deer Creek senior advanced to the state tourney by firing a two-day round of 173. She earned her state trip by being one of two golfers to advance out of a three-girl playoff.
Jacob Goeden paced the Wadena-Deer Creek team in the boys' tournament with a two-day round of 165 but missed the state cut by five strokes.
The Class AA state tournament will be held June 10-11 at the Ridges of Sand Creek golf course near Jordan.
