The Wadena-Deer Creek Shockers used a four-run ninth inning rally Sunday to overcome the Bluffton Braves 12-9 in Hi-10 League action.
The Braves erupted for four runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 9-8 lead into the final frame.
Travis George swung a mean bat for the Shockers going 3-for-4. Jayme George, Eric Blom and Christian Berg all collected two hits apiece.
Kevin and Cory Tumberg both went 3-for-4 in the loss. Bluffton's Jordan Vaughan was the only player on either side to collect a round-tripper. Vaughan, Dustin Geiser and Kyle Dykhoff were all credited with two hits apiece.
Kevin Tumberg, who pitched in relief of Dustin Geiser and Cody Geiser, was tagged with the loss. Tumberg pitched 3 ⅓ innings allowing seven runs and eight hits. Five of the runs Tumberg allowed were unearned.

Travis George went the first 7 ⅔ innings for the Shockers and gave up 14 hits and nine runs while walking two and fanning nine. Jayme George came on in the eighth and recorded the last four outs without allowing a Bluffton player to reach base.
The loss dropped the Braves to 2-6 as they prepare for a doubleheader with Henning Sunday in Bluffton.
