The Wadena-Deer Creek Shockers dropped the first game of the week, but came storming back with three dominating performances to raise their season record to 12-11.
The Bluffton Braves got the best of the Shockers as Kyle Dykhoff got the win on the mound. Jordan Wohlwend led the Shockers with two hits in the game. WDC lost 8-3.
Against New York Mills Friday night, it was a different story. JJ Truax threw a one-hitter as the WDC bats came alive. WDC scored 17 runs on 11 hits. Kyle Dornbusch came in to the game in relief and slammed the door to preserve Truax's one-hitter, Manager Randy Jahnke said.
The pitching dominance continued against Mills in a 7-0 win on the heel's of Truax's one-hitter. Jayme George spun a one-hitter of his own, allowing the lone hit in the third inning. In the game, Jordan Wohlwend stole home in the third inning, one of six overall steals in the game. Wohlwend and Nordlund paced the team with two hits apiece.
JJ Truax smacked four hits in a Sunday game with the Perham Pirates, and Jayme George added three more. The Shockers, however, didn't need much offense in that game.

"JoJo brought his A-game and I was honored and proud to see that happen," Jahnke said.
The team's record improved to 12-11 as they head into games against Frazee Friday, in Midway on Saturday, and home against Dent on Sunday.
"The Shockers are starting to gel by pure utter domination," Jahnke said, pointing to the 38 runs his team scored over the last three contests while only yielding two hits.
