Jordan Hinkle’s second-seeded Verndale boys’ basketball team will face the winner of a Feb. 24 game between seventh-seeded Bertha-Hewitt and 10th-seeded Sebeka Thursday, Feb. 27 in a 7 p.m. Sub-Section 5A playoff game at Verndale.
The winner of Thursday’s game will tangle with the winner of a game between No. 3 Nevis and No. 6 Hill City at 7:45 p.m. March 1 on the Wadena-Deer Creek court.
Browerville is the No. 1-seeded team in Verndale’s half of the section. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa is seeded No. 1 in the other half.
The Sub-Section 5A finals are set for March 4 in Wadena and Little Falls. The section finals will be played March 7 at Crosby-Ironton. All three games will have 7 p.m. starting times.
