The Sebeka Legion baseball team pushed 10 runs across the plate in the third inning last Monday en route to a 10-5 victory over Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale.
The top four hitters in Sebeka's lineup all collected two hits. Tom Tellers, Al Pietala, Levi Schwartz and Ray Mueller combined for eight hits, six runs and eight RBIs. No. 9 hitter Nick Meyer was 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Sebeka's bats went bezerk in the third with 15 hitters going to the plate. Tellers struck the big blow with a three-run double after five runners had already scored. Sebeka's lineup had collected 10 of their 11 game hits by the time the inning was over.
"They were not making any errors," Sebeka skipper Cody Pulju said. "Everyone was just hitting like crazy."
BHV struck back with three runs in the fifth frame. Preston Riewer, who led the BHV attack with three hits in four trips, led off the inning with a single. Riewer moved up on an error and a single by Mac Schluttner and scored on a wild pitch. Schluttner came home when Zach Johnson singled. A double by Matt Lipinski brought Johnson home.

A double by Tyler Klimek and a triple by Riewer led to BHV's first run in the sixth frame. Riewer came home on a two-out single by Luke Weniger.
Al Copa doubled in the bottom of the seventh with one out but Tellers, who relieved Charles Haataja after six innings, got BHV's last two hitters to ground out. Haataja was credited with the win.
The BHV Legion pulled starter Al Copa after 2 2/3 innings and replaced him with Schluttner. Weniger and Lipinski each pitched two innings of relief. Copa was hung with the loss.
