Dalton Jampsa rallied Underwood from a 6-0 deficit with a touchdown run and a TD pass to beat Verndale 22-6 Tuesday night in Section 4, Class Nine-man playoff action.
Verndale head coach Mike Mahlen considered playing conditions to be some of the worst he has ever seen.
"It ranks right up there in the top four," Mahlen said after watching his team finish its season in a blizzard.
Zack Meidinger gave Verndale the early lead on the wet and snowy field when he broke loose on a 78-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Jampsa brought the Rockets right back and capped the drive with a slick 33-yard touchdown run. Jason Umlauf scored the all-important conversion to put Underwood up 8-6.
