The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders staged a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh Thursday evening to top Nevis 10-9 in the Section 6A loser's bracket.
After Gavin Becker stole home in the top of the seventh to give the Tigers a 9-8 lead, the Raiders started a comeback with one down in the bottom half of the inning when Mitchell Blaha reached on a wild pitch. Blaha stole second but Jordan Frethem fanned for the second out of the inning. Mack Jones reached on an error and Blaha scored to tie the game. Jones scored the winning run on another Nevis error.
Luke Weniger went 3-for-4 with one run and two RBIs in the win. Ethan Korfe went 2-for-3 with two runs. Card was 1-for-3 and scored twice.
Preston Riewer gave the Raiders five innings of work. Card came on in the sixth to pick up the mound win.
Victor Mastley and Austin Becker both went 3-for-5 in the loss. Mastley combined with Courtland Chase and Andrew Dudley for six RBIs.

The Tigers were guilty of eight errors in the game.

Owen Anderson collected three hits and Mitch Peterson drove in two runs as the Braves handed the top-seeded Raiders their first Section 6A playoff loss last Thursday at Lund Park in New York Mills.
The Braves pushed six runs across in the fifth inning and tacked on three important runs in the ninth.

Mack Jones went 3-for-3, scored once and drove in a run for the Raiders. Luke Weniger went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Dillon Card, who pitching in Tuesday's playoff opener with Lake Park-Audubon, got the starting nod again and went four frames before leaving the game. Reliever Ethan Korfe retired only one batter in taking the loss. Preston Riewer finished up on the hill.
Nick Meyer gave the Braves three innings of relief to earn the victory.

Dillon Card, Preston Riewer and Mac Schluttner combined to toss a four-hitter Tuesday as the top-ranked Raiders opened the Sub-Section 6A tournament on a winning note.
Card struck out seven and did not allow a free pass in his four innings of work. Riewer struck out four more in two innings on the hill. Schluttner gave up three of Lake Park-Audubon's four safeties in his one inning.
Schluttner tripled in the third and scored on a single by Riewer, who later scored on a passed ball.
Steve Riewer's BHV crew made their own luck in the bottom of the fifth. Leading 2-1 the Raiders got a lead-off double from Mack Jones. After Mac Schluttner grounded out, Jones scored from third on a passed ball. Riewer reached on a walk, stole second and moved to third on an error. Ethan Korfe drove in Riewer with a double. Card was retired on a fly out but Korfe scored on an error. Zach Johnson kept the threat going with a double but Matt Lipinski grounded out.
Johnson and Schluttner both went 2-for-3 in the victory. Riewer scored twice.
Hunter Erickson went 2-for-3, scored once and drove in one run for Lake Park-Audubon.
