The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders made a seventh inning run Friday before falling to Browerville 5-4 in a game at Anderson Park.

Trailing 5-2 going into the final inning the Raiders got a lead-off double from Zach Johnson. Mitchell Blaha followed with a single to put runners at the corners. Pat Riewer drew his third walk to load sacks. Travis Eckel's line drive out to left scored pinch-runner Mac Schluttner. A ground ball out scored Blaha but the Tigers clinched the win with third out.

Dillon Card fanned eight over the first five innings while giving up just three hits and no walks. Eric Blaha finished up with two hits, two walks and three strikeouts.

BHV 11, Pillager 4

Preston Riewer, Jordan Fretham, Erica Blaha, Zach Johnson and Matt Lipinski all doubled at Anderson Park Thursday in routing the Huskies.

Riewer came up with three hits in four trips to the plate. Fretham drove in three runs while Blaha drove in two.

Riewer chalked up the mound win. Mason Quick was hung with the loss.
