Wadena PeeWee hockey team claims 2nd place among some of the best in the Midwest

Their championship game was played in Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls.

THIEF RIVER FALLS — The Wadena Peewee hockey team took second place in a tournament in the PeeWee B Big Cat Classic in Thief River Falls Jan. 22-23.
The little shooters beat Greenway 8-0; Thief River Falls 3-1; Grafton, N.D. 10-1; and finally lost in the championship game at Ralph Engelstad Arena to Woodbury 5-0.
This team is made up of kids from Wadena, New York Mills, Verndale, Sebeka and Henning. They took on and performed great along with 11 other teams from across Minnesota and North Dakota.
