Girls basketball: Henning overpowers Wolverines in second matchup

The Wolverines next play Sebeka at home Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. This is a rescheduled game from January.

HENNING — Just a month ago, the Wadena-Deer Creek girl's squad put the hurt on the Henning girl's basketball team.
On Friday, Feb. 4, the Hornet's showed they were in control as they stormed to a 62-30 finish.

The Hornet's Faith Fisher was unstoppable with six three-point shots in the first half. Unable to shut Fisher down and struggling to gain momentum offensively, the team slid behind.
The Wolverines scored 22 points in the first half, with Montana Carsten adding eight of those.
Henning ended the half with 39.
WDC was held to just eight points total in the second half. The Hornets added another 23. Fisher finished the game with 20 points.
