WADENA — With five three-pointers in the firt half, Montana Carsten outscored the Sebeka squad who added up just 13 points before the break.
The Wolverines kept up the pace with a 62-43 finish on Monday, Feb. 7, earning a Park Region Conference victory.
Carsten ended the night with six three-pionters and a free-throw for 19 points total.
"She puts in a lot of time and effort shooting on her own, so it’s been great seeing her shoot it well," WDC head coach Jordan Cresap said.
Addyson Gravelle added 12 and Lauryn Gravelle tossed in 11.
"We had good balance offensively, with a few different players stepping up," Cresap added.
Cresap made note of senior Madison Packer's contributions. While she's not the first to put up a shot, she covers a lot of ground and gets the ball into the right hands at the right times over and over.
"She makes simple, hard working plays all over the court that sometimes don’t show up in the stat sheet," Cresap said.
Payton Gravelle, Kaylin Lupkes and Madison Packer each scored six points in the game.
