Sue Volkmann took the Deer Creek volleyball head coaching job in 1983. Nearly four decades later she became the 13th head coach in Minnesota high school volleyball history to eclipse the 600-win mark. Sue Volkmann will go for her 600th career victory as head volleyball coach on Thursday when the Wolverines travel to Bertha-Hewitt. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Wolverines are on a five-match winning streak, including last Thursday's 3-0 win over Menahga to secure Volkmann's 599th win.
