BERTHA — Peyton Church’s 26 points helped the Wolverines end a three-game losing streak with a 70-65 Park Region Conference win over Bertha-Hewitt Friday, Jan. 28.
The win was not easy as the Bears managed unbelievable scoring on the night.

“We need to tip our caps to Bertha," said WDC head coach Kevin Tumberg. "They shot the lights out tonight finishing shooting 50% from the field. They shot 46% from three. It felt like there were stretches that they couldn’t miss. Luckily, we got some key stops down the stretch, made big shots and knocked down free throws."

Josiah Kallevig tallied 14 points and Teshe Loer finished with 11. The Wolverines topped the Bears 78-44 Dec. 14 to sweep the season series.
