ST. CLOUD – Josh Dykoff is putting together a string of memorable playoff performances in his senior season.
On Tuesday night, Dykhoff led the Wolverines to a 5-1 win over Eden Valley-Watkins in the Section 6-2A tournament. The victory sets up a rematch between WDC and Albany in the section championship game.
Dykhoff threw a complete game one-hitter on the mound. He punched out 15 hitters in his second consecutive start. He also went 3-for-5 at the plate with a triple.
WDC scored two runs in the first and third innings to take a 4-1 lead. The Wolverines added more insurance with a run in the fourth, which was plenty of cushion for Dykhoff.
Isaac Hamann, Payton Rondestvedt, Connor Davis, Evan Lunde and Peyton Church all recorded hits.
