Three Ashby players hit double figures Tuesday night as the Arrows trumped Verndale 50-42 in a non-conference tilt at Ashby.
The Arrows held the Pirates to just 12 points in the first half. The Pirates out-scored the host Arrows 30-29 in the second half.
Zack Meidinger had a solid game for the Pirates as he hit five treys and led all scorers with 24 points. Caleb Burczyk came up with 11.
The 8-10 Arrows were led by Jordan Lillemon's 14 tallies. Tanner Langlie canned 11 and big Riley Mickelson netted 10.
The loss dropped Verndale to 1-19.

Five cagers scored in double figures as the Trojans hammered the Pirates in a Park Region Conference tilt.

The third-ranked Trojans were led by Joey Cuperus with 17 points while Cody Pulju and Ryan Sharp poured in 15 points and Josh Kinnunen scored 10.
Zack Meidinger was Verndale's top point man with 14 points. Caleb Burcyzk chipped in with a dozen.
The Trojans are 18-1 overall and 10-0 in the PRC.

Shawn Anglie, Taylor Chase, Nolan Toft and Hunter Schroeder tacked up 12 points. Dylan Stenberg canned 11.
Verndale's Zack Meidinger led all scorers with 26 tallies.
