The cold snap lingers to finish out this work week. The warmer air will slowly move into the region in the western side of the Dakotas. Winds will pick up out of the south, but won't help draw in the milder air for the rest of us until Saturday.
Winds will go light for the eastern Dakotas, Minnesota and most of Wisconsin on Saturday. This should make for a great day to be outside. The combination of light winds and milder temperatures will make for a pleasant winter weekend.
Highs will range from upper 20s in northern and northeastern Minnesota to mainly 30s for the rest of the region. I'm seeing more sunshine for the Dakotas with some cloud cover lingering for Minnesota. Our weather this weekend is looking comfortable for this time of year to be out and about.
A weak wave will slide by near the International Border Saturday night bringing a chance of flurries or a dusting of snow for some. Snow amounts will be very minimal.
Winds stay on the lighter side for Sunday for nearly the entire region.

Temperatures will mainly be in the 20s for the Red River Valley and Minnesota with 30s for the Dakotas. I'm seeing a little more sunshine to finish out this weekend which will lead to another mild day to land right on a weekend.
