Eight Prairie Center players scored goals Tuesday night as the North Stars roughed up Wadena-Deer Creek 9-1 at the Long Prairie Expo Arena.

Bridger Pettit stung Prairie Center with the game's first goal at the 2:45 mark of the opening period. Christian Berg and Shane Motschenbacher earned assists on the goal.

Sean Colton and Nate Mettenburg brought the North Stars back scoring two goals apiece in a five-goal first period for Prairie Center. Colton went on to have a four-point game for the North Stars. Cody Bartkowicz joined Mettenburg with three-point games.

Cody McManigle stopped 34 shots for the Wolverines while Justin Brever came up with 13 saves for the North Stars.

The loss dropped the Wolverines to 0-4 heading into Saturday's 2 p.m. home opener with Red Lake Falls.
