Samuel Moore was a double qualifier in the weights and Rumor Stokes made the cut in four events Thursday at the Sub-Section 6A track and field meet in Pillager.
Moore and Stokes were two of the five BHV athletes qualifying for Thursday's Section 6A track and field meet at Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
Moore won the discus with a toss of 141-01 and took second in the shot put with a 49-1.75.
Stokes took second in the triple jump with a 34-7.75, fourth in the long jump with a 15-7.25, fifth in the 300 hurdles with a 50.97 and ran a leg for the 4x200 relay team that placed second with a 1:52.31. Joining Stokes were Becca Coon, Alyssa Thompson and Courtney Templin.
Templin and Thompson both qualified to run 400 dash in Moorhead with fourth and fifth place times of 1:03.45 and 1:05.11.

"The girls competed pretty well," BHV girls' track and field coach Ken Miller said. "We had some great competition and the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams ran really well. Rumor (Stokes) had another great day for us and advanced in all four of her events."
