Connor Chambers tacked up four goals and four assists Tuesday as the Northern Lakes Lightning skated past Wadena-Deer Creek 9-5.
Kegan Couture had a hat trick for the Lightning and Andy Sorben turned in four assists.
Mitchell Swanson iced a pair of goals for the Wolverines while Bridger Pettit added a goal and two assists.
Christian Berg and Mike Paavola also scored for WDC.
Wesley Janson kicked out 26 shots for the Wolverines who out-shot the Lightning 42-35.

The Eagles erupted with four unanswered goals in the third period Saturday to spoil WDC's home opener in their unfinished indoor facility.

The two clubs traded goals in the first two periods. Mitchell Swanson scored the first goal for WDC unassisted at the 7:11 mark. Garrett Schmitz answered with a power play gaol at the 9:22 mark.
Bridger Pettit iced a goal at 2:24 of Period 2 to put WDC up 2-1 but Tristan Knott made the lead a short-lived one when he found the net at the 2:54 mark.
It was all Red Lake Falls in the third period with Ryan Amiot, Zack Landman and Dylan Zutz joining Schmitz in the scoring column. Amiot scored his goal on the power play.
The Wolverines matched Red Lake Falls in power play opportunities with five but had only 12 minutes of advantage compared to Red Lake Falls' 22.
Cory McManigle kicked out 28 shots for the Wolverines. Wyatt Casavan stopped 31.

Sam Coburn iced four goals and Cory Odland had a hat trick Thursday in a Highway 71 showdown with the Wolverines.
The Panthers dominated the first two periods scoring the first seven goals and out-shooting the Wolverines 29-14.
Mitchell Swanson stopped Park Rapids' scoring run at the 14:55 mark of the second period when he scored on a power play with an assist from Christian Berg.
Odland scored the final three goals for Park Rapids but Swanson broke up his bid for a pure trick at 3:31 of the third period with an assist from Bridger Pettit.
Coburn iced one short-handed goal for the Panthers but Park Rapids was 0-for-6 on the power play.
Scott Smith earned the victory in goal recording 11 of Park Rapids' 20 saves. Wesley Janson blocked 28 shots in the loss.
