Wadena-DC vs. Morris Area/Benson Area

The Morris Area/Benson Area Storm gained a measure of revenge when they defeated Wadena-Deer Creek 3-2 in overtime in Morris on Feb. 5.

The Wolverines defeated the Storm earlier in the year 6-2 in Wadena.

However, two second period goals was not enough for the Wolverines when Morris Area/Benson Area tallied single goals in the second, third and overtime.

Brady DeHaan, Hunter Blume and Kolby Goff all scored for the Storm with Goff’s game-winner coming in overtime.

Max Phillips tallied a power play goal in the second period with Kade Woods and Wyatt Murray assisting on the goal. Logan Robinson gave the Wolverines a 2-1 lead with Colby Schertler picking up the lone assist.

Chase Engebretson stopped 31 of 33 shots in earning the win. Josh Dykhoff stopped 29 of 32 stops for the Wolverines in the loss.
