Blue Devils skate to 6-2 victory

Katelyn Barthel scored twice for the Blue Devils. Morgan Zeise iced the game's first goal. Ashley Helseth and Kat Benney scored their first varsity goals. Katelyn Peters scored the team's final goal.

Picking up assists were Barthel, Benney, Peters, Sam Killian, Kylee Helling, Logan Theiler and Zara Einerwold.

Sarah Holm stopped seven shots while Angela Hanson kicked out 28.

Lizzie Archbold took a feed from Lauren Hanson and jammed home the winning goal at the 3:36 mark Saturday as Marshall edged Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek 3-2 in overtime.

The Tigers iced the game's first goal in the opening period as Jessica Blanchard scored the first of Marshall's three power play goals. Hanson and Hanna Peterson were credited with assists on the play.

Sara Casperson evened the score at 1-all at the 1:54 mark of the first period with a feed from Katelyn Peters.

After Archbold scored off a pass from Peterson at the 11:22 mark of the second period, Hallsey Maas knotted the score at 2-all when she put in a shot at the 9:22 mark off an assist from Kylee Damm.

Morgan Morrill and Sarah Holm both had 23 saves for their respective clubs.

Princeton 14, LPGE/WDC 0

The Tigers controlled the puck to a tune of 23 shots on goal to one Thursday night in a rout of the Blue Devils.

Raegan Anderson scored a hat trick for the Tigers while Julia Osowski, Ellie McElhone and Ally McAlpine iced two goals each.

The Tigers tacked up nine goals in the first period and went on to out-shoot the Blue Devils 51-11.

Tabitha Allers earned the victory in goal. Angela Hanson stopped 25 shots and Sarah Holm stopped nine.

The two clubs skated to a 4-4 draw in junior varsity action.

Sam Killian, Katelyn Peters, Emery Dumpprope and Sara Casperson iced goals for the Blue Devils. Halley Maas was credited with an assist.

Holm stopped 40 shots in the tie.
