The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders won the final four weight classes Saturday en route to a 44-31 victory over Border West in the Section 6A team championship match at Pelican Rapids.
The Raiders, will now take a 15-match winning streak into the Class A state wrestling tournament Feb. 27 at the Xcel Energy Centre in St. Paul. Their next competition will be the Section 6A individual wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday in Wadena.
Trailing Border West 31-23, the Raiders got pins from John French at 182, Dillon Card at 220 and Dalton Baker at 285 and a major decision from Andy Bounds at 195.
The Raiders won five of the last six matches as they rallied past West Central Area 39-26 in the semifinals.
