The New York Mills softball team continued its dominant ways with a 4-1 and 11-1 doubleheader sweep of the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines on May 8 in Wadena.
The defending Class A Champions have now won 14 straight games, 21 dating back to last season and appear poised to make another run in 2018.

The Eagles jumped ahead with three in the first and one in the second inning, but Mackenzie Carsten settled in and put up zeroes the rest of the way.
Courtny Warren led the way at the plate with two hits and a run scored. Lila Lohmiller drove in the lone run for the Wolverines. Casey Volkmann and Nevada Schulz added hits in the game for the Wolverines. Schulz recorded an extra base hit with a double.
Carsten took the loss when she allowed four runs on eight hits. She walked one batter.
The Eagles started strong in game two as well, plating three first inning runs. They built on the lead with a run in the second and five more in the fifth inning, before ending the game by the mercy rule with two runs in the sixth inning.
Volkmann took the loss in game two. She went four innings and allowed four runs on six hits. She walked two and struck out one.
