WDC girls end slide with first PRC cage victory


Three WDC players scored in double figures Tuesday as the Wolverines snapped a seven-game losing streak and won their first Park Region Conference game by downing Bertha-Hewitt 54-32.
Casey Volkmann canned 12 points while Kennedy Gravelle and Rylie Langer chalked up 10 apiece. The Wolverines made 23 of their 54 shots for a 42 percent clip.
The Wolverines beat the Lady Bears on the boards 38-30 with Langer grabbing six. Taylor Shamp collected 14 rebounds.
The Lady Bears shot a cool 25 percent from the field. Allysa Kimber was the high pointer with 14 points. Shamp scored nine points.
