The comment by Ralph Miller in the Pioneer Journal of Dec. 17 regarding the cuts made to the library system shows him to be out of touch with the people he is currently representing as a commissioner. He stated "People can buy their own books if they want to read." Maybe he has the funds to buy the books he wants but most of us rely on the library as a source of entertainment as well as a place to gather information on a particular subject.
Maybe he hasn't taken advantage of everything the library has to offer. If not, go check it out Mr. Miller. You might learn something.
