As the time for voting comes closer, I want to express my wholehearted support for Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen and encourage all in the new district to do the same. We are fortunate to have a strong, no-nonsense, experienced, honest voice determined to take our values to St. Paul. Bill has represented his district with honor, and we in Otter Tail County can now put his experience to work for us.
During my years as Otter Tail County sheriff, I often found my professional responsibilities intertwined with Bill's work as sheriff of Douglas County. Bill and I worked together on many, many cases of all kinds, and I always knew that Bill would handle issues with integrity and a sense of knowing precisely whom he served.
I also knew that Bill had my back, something that is not always found in today's public servants. Over the years, I came to value Bill's partnership and his "Let's get it done" attitude. I know the people in Douglas County felt fortunate to have him working for them because they reelected Bill as their county's top lawman four times. Bill was doing a lot of things right in Douglas County, and I have no doubt he will continue to serve honorably and exceptionally as our state senator.
Sen. Ingebrigtsen is unwaveringly pro-life and endorsed by MCCL. He is pro-Second Amendment and has earned the A-plus rating from the NRA. He is a husband, father, grandfather and a solid citizen, deeply committed to public service. I am proud to call him a friend and very happy to call him my senator.
Please vote for the right choice for our district and for our state. Let's send Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen back to St. Paul to continue working for all of us.
