Funeral Services were held for Jack Windels, age 16, of Wadena, Minnesota on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena with Pastor Adam Neuerburg officiating.

Jack Riley Windels made his surprise entrance into this world on January 25th, 2006, with a purpose to change lives. He truly came into this world at a time where he was able to have the biggest impact on everybody around him. He made 1st time parents; a mother’s first true love and a father’s first pride & joy. Jack is the 1st grandchild, great grandchild, and great-GREAT grandchild. Jack was the training wheels for first-time aunts and uncles who have since become parents, themselves. But he didn’t stop there, Jack continued to impact others’ lives as he became a first stepson, the oldest sibling, oldest cousin and let’s not forget about all the family he’s picked up along the way. A very special boy with a very big heart. He filled so many homes with joy and unforgettable memories as he showered us all with the things he loved like making music and art, or watching My Little Pony. Friends and family will always remember Jack as very intelligent, highly creative, and imaginative; a kid with a good sense of humor and always on the go… with a speaker in his backpack and a winter stocking cap on his head in the middle of June, Jack was ready for anything and everything.

Every day for 16 1/2 years Jack spent being uniquely himself and held an abundance of space for anybody who wanted to do the same. The way Jack would accept and love everyone just the way they are is something to be proud of. Jack was fiercely loyal to those he loved and found it natural to help others while he could. His legacy of love and kindness will continue through his generous donation of life to others!

What a blessing it has been to have received the love of Jack. Fly high buddy. We love and miss you so much
