The funeral service for Delores “Dee” Groshong of Wadena will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Schuller Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services’ Johnson Schuller Chapel in Wadena. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

Delores “Dee” Groshong, 88 formerly of Verndale, MN, passed away on January 15th, 2022, at Perham Living Nursing Home.

Dee was born to Fred and Delphine (Addicks) Bouchard on April 27, 1933, in Onamia, MN. Delores met and later married Raymond Groshong, Sr. on January 18, 1949. She enjoyed being part of the T.O.P.S Club where she held office. Dee enjoyed working retail at S & L Department Store, JCPenney in Wadena and worked many years at Batcher’s Department Store in Staples, MN.

Dee found joy in taking trips and traveling with Ray, tending to their garden, and canning. She sang in the church choir and was also known for her love of baking, crafting, and sewing but mostly for her love of shoes and fashion.

Dee will be remembered as a kind-hearted woman who loved her husband deeply. Dee loved spending time with each of her grandchildren and took time to share her love of baking, gardening, and crafting with them. Her face lit up with each addition of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Dee in death were her parents, Fred and Delphine; husband, Raymond Groshong Sr.; two infant children; brothers, Peter and Alfred Bouchard; sisters, Georgianna Campbell and Delphine Byers.

Dee leaves behind several loved ones including her brother, Charles “Bud” Bouchard and his wife Marilyn of Pequot Lakes, MN; sons, Raymond Groshong Jr. and his wife Renee of Sebeka, MN, Heath Groshong and Sondra Clark of Jamestown, ND; daughters, Linda (Groshong) and her husband Robert (Bob) Schmidt Sr. of Menahga, MN, Robin (Groshong) and her husband Timothy Klinkner of Ottertail, MN; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Verndale, MN.
