Darlene Keppers

The Mass of Christian Burial for Darlene Keppers of Wadena, MN was celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Gabriel Walz as celebrant.
Darlene, age 83, passed away with family by her side on November 20, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Darlene was born to Bernard and Bertilia “Bert” (Neuerburg) Imdieke on New Year’s Day 1938, in Rochester, MN. She attended St. Francis Catholic School through eleventh grade. On August 1, 1959, Darlene married Willard Gregor Keppers of Bluffton, MN at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena. Her days were filled with the many tasks of caring for their three children; Duane, Bernard “Bernie” and Brenda. Darlene enjoyed attending Mass, sharing her faith during Bible study and socializing with others as a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Her hours of leisure were spent playing games and cards, attending numerous community events with her sister and relaxing with family.
Preceding Darlene in death were her parents, Bernard and Bertilia Imdieke; husband Willard Keppers; son, Bernie Keppers; brothers-in-law, Charles Reece, Urban Keppers, Richard (Alice) Keppers, Victor Keppers and Sylvester Krier; and sisters-in-laws Diana Imdieke, Patricia “Pat” Keppers and Kathleen Keppers.
Left with loving memories of Darlene are her children, Duane (Kateri) Keppers of Richville and Brenda (Steven) Schiller of Wadena; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernadine Reece of Wadena, Gary (Marcia) Imdieke of Sierra Vista, AZ and Alan Imdieke of Osakis; along with numerous friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers were Aaron Schiller, Ryan Keppers, Zachary Keppers, Bob Keppers, Doug Blazek and Phil Iverson.
Burial was next to her husband in Calvary Cemetery, Wadena, MN.
