Beverly Bramer

The funeral service for Beverly Bramer of Verndale will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, at St. John Lutheran Church in Wadena, with Pastor Stephen Meltzer presiding.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena and will resume at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Surrounded by her family, Beverly, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, at her home in Verndale, MN, with supportive care by Knute Nelson Hospice.
Beverly June Hosek was born to Frank and Sena (Folkerts) Hosek on June 12, 1940, in Olivia, MN. While growing up she lived in the Eagle Bend and Staples area. Later, she moved to Verndale where she graduated from High School. It was then that she met the love of her life, Ellis Bramer. They were united in marriage on March 12, 1960, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bartlett Township. They lived and worked in St. Paul for a short time before moving back to Verndale where they raised their children, LeRoy, Linda and Rhonda.
Beverly worked at Ringers Manufacturing in Staples and Karen’s Apparel in Wadena. She also was an Avon Representative for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, working on puzzles, gardening, and going to the casino! Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bev in death were her loving husband of 55 years, Ellis (July 28, 2015); parents Frank and Sena; brothers Arthur and Roger Hosek; brother-in-law Donald Madges; sisters-in-law, Eva and Alice Hosek; and Ellis’ parents, Clarence and Florence Bramer.
Left with loving memories are her children, LeRoy of Verndale, Linda (Scott) Gustafson and Rhonda (Eric) Neuerburg both of Wadena; grandchildren Kayla (Charles) Melby, Tracy (fiancé Ryan) Gustafson, Amara and Blake Neuerburg; great-grandchildren, Landon and Noah Melby; sister, Rachel Madges of Randall; sister-in-law Gert Hosek of Verndale; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Beverly’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nephew Greg Hosek.
Active pallbearers will be David Hosek, Mike Madges, Chris Bramer, Donnie Madges, Jr, Jeff Ludovisse and Charles Jasmer.
Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Verndale, MN.
