Delories Jensen

The public funeral service for Delories Jensen of Alexandria, formerly of Wadena, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, at Schuller Family Funeral Homes’ Verndale Chapel, with Pastor Nate Loer presiding. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the chapel on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Delories, age 89, passed away with family by her side on January 7, 2021, at her home in Wadena, MN, under the tender care of Knute Nelson Hospice.

Delories was born to John and Anna (Horst) Winterfeld on June 9, 1931, at Rock Rapids, IA. She graduated from high school in Verndale, MN. She worked as a nurse and later at Homecrest, Ind. until her retirement. Delories raised African violets, enjoyed her two cats, and loved to sew/mend clothes for her family. She didn’t miss a chance to go out dancing, which is where she met her dancing partner, Harold Jensen. They were married in 1995 and resided in Alexandria, MN.

Delories is survived by sons Craig (Tina) Reece of Wadena, MN, Crispin Reece of Alexandria, MN, Darwin of Middleburg, KY; daughter Lisa Reece of Wadena, MN; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.

Preceding Delories in death were her husband Harold (Nov. 1998); parents John and Anna; brothers Merlyn and Kenneth; and grandson Justin.

Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Wadena, MN.
