Mynard “Mickey” Waln

The funeral service for Mynard “Mickey” Waln of Wadena, was held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at the Schuller Family Funeral Homes’ & Cremation Services’ Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena, with Pastor Mike Maroney presiding.

Mynard, age 80, passed away on November 6, 2020, at the Harmony House Assisted Living in Motley, MN.

Mynard, known to all as Mickey, was the oldest son born to Francis and Hazel (Bryce) Waln on September 13, 1940, in Wadena, MN. He found his livelihood as an over-the-road trucker. He hauled the harvest for local farmers and driving truck was his favorite thing to do!

On June 14, 2014, Mickey was united in marriage with Helen (Reisinger) Solum at the Miracle Mansion in Wadena.

Preceding Mickey in death were his parents Francis and Hazel; sister Linda Waln; and sister-in-law Gloriann Waln. Mickey is survived by his wife Helen of Wadena, and brother Myron “Butch” Waln of Wadena.

Burial was at Wadena Cemetery, Wadena, MN.
