Deborah Belch

The funeral service for Deborah “Debbie” Belch of Wadena, will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, November 5, at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills, with Pastor Nick Kandoll presiding.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a time of sharing and prayer at 7:00 p.m.    Visitation will resume at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Debbie, age 66,  passed away with family at her side on November 2, 2020, at her home in Wadena, MN.

Deborah “Debbie“  was born to Robert and Hilma (Fraki) Mursu on July 16, 1954, in Wadena, MN.  She completed high school in New York Mills and continued her education to achieve her Associates Degree as an office manager and accountant.

On April 20, 1974, Debbie was united in marriage with Richard Allen Belch at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills. She was an avid birder, watching and feeding them brought her joy, with the red cardinals being her favorite!  She was a Precious Moments figurine collector. Other interests included reading, traveling and serving in her church, cooking meals and doting on her fellow church members.  Most of all, Debbie loved her family more than anything!

Preceding Debbie in death were her parents, Robert and Hilma; and brother, Steven (Janice) Mursu.  

Loving memories of Deborah will be held by her husband, Rick of Wadena; children Chad (Julie) Belch, Jonette (Peter) Schreiner, Danielle (Wes) Peterson, Emily Mursu and Andrea (Steve) Machala; g randchildren Sierra, Sydney, Micah, Ezra Svetlana, Quinn and Archer; siblings Glen (Miriam) Mursu and Jodi (Marty) Pikula; along with a host of friends.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wadena, MN.
