The funeral service for Clarence "Bid" Nyberg of Hewitt was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha.
Clarence, 76, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home in Hewitt, surround by family under the tender care of Knute Nelson Hospice.
Clarence Adolph Nyberg was born to Clarence and Linda (Ziesemer) Nyberg on August 31, 1942, in Alexandria, MN. He attended country school and completed grades 7-12 at Bertha High School. He honorably served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966, during the Cold War.
Clarence was united in marriage with Betty Joan Esteb on June 23, 2006, in Fergus Falls, MN. He worked construction, farmed and was in the maintenance department at Homecrest, Ind. in Wadena. In his time away from work he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed target shooting, hunting and fishing.
Clarence was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (nee Webb) on March 16, 2004; sons, Christopher Nyberg and Kevin Seefeldt; daughter-in-law Brenda Seefeldt; and brother, Harlan Nyberg.
Surviving Clarence are his wife Betty; sons, Matthew (Nancy) Nyberg of TX and Steven (Camille) Seefeldt of Browerville, MN; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; along with a sister, Linda Ann McKane of Staples.
Pallbearers were Bob Wenker, Paul Skillings, Rick Setterlund, Shannon McKane, Watson Johnson, Donnie Payne, David Harnack and Dr. Jerry McCery.
Military honors were provided by MNAGHG and the Elmer Goche Post 3922, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wadena, MN.
Burial was in Woodside Cemetery, Wrightstown, MN.
