Robert "Bob" Stine

A Celebration of Life will be held for Robert "Bob" Stine, age 80, of Wadena, MN on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12 noon at Paddock Township Hall with Ron Cichy officiating. Honorary urn bearers will be Paul Stolz, Joe Hasse, Shirley Hill, Glenn Stine, Ron Cichy and John Warren. Bob will be laid to rest in Hillview Cemetery, rural Sebeka.

Robert "Bob" Claire Stine was born on July 27, 1938 in New Underwood, South Dakota. His parents were the late Orville Claire and Ida Louise (Asbjeld) Stine. Bob attended Sebeka High School and then worked with his parents on the farm.

On February 23, 1961, Bob was married to Joyce Stoltz at Assembly of God Church in New York Mills. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children: Dale, Jolene, Loreen, and Sheldon. Bob was employed at The Bait Shop in Menahga, Mid-Central Coop and the local Cenex.

Bob was an automotive technician by trade and enjoyed working on vehicles while he was employed at Auto Tri Co, Ness Motors and Triple A Auto Sales. He loved collecting John Deere toy tractors and traveling with family on vacations.

On May 26, 2019 Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and the gentle care of Knute Nelson Hospice at his home in Wadena, at 80 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Ida Stine; ex-wife, Joyce Stine; brother, Duane Stine; and sister, Shirley Hoyhtya.

Bob is survived by his special friend, Shirley Hill; brother, Glenn (Alice) Stine of Menahga; sister, Karilyn (Kelly) Hendrickson of Menahga; children: Dale (Sherye Siegford) Stine of Wadena; Jolene (Greg) Samuelson of Parkers Prairie; Loreen (John Warren) Stine of Bluffton; Sheldon Stine of New York Mills; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren;; many other relatives and a host of friends.
