A funeral Mass for Jeanette Baymler of Wadena, will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with Christian Mothers Rosary at 5:00 and Prayers at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
Jeanette, age 80, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Esther and Earl, her husband James, her infant daughter, and siblings, Judy, Bill, John, Loila, Bunny and Margie.
She leaves behind her children: Joan (Arnie) Hoppe, Patricia (Steve) Yotter, Mary (Jeff) Rathmanner, Lynn (David) Quincer, Paul, Michael, Pamela (Michael) Quinn, Maureen (Mark) Stephens, Lisa (Brian) Koons; grandchildren: Cassandra, Monika, Sara (Joan), Katherin, Abby (Patricia), Martha, Maxwell, Mariah (Mary), Melissa, Elizabeth, Matthew, Thomas (Lynn), Samantha, Andrew, Charles, Jack (Pamela), Reegan (Maureen), Isaac and Spencer (Lisa), and many great-grandchildren, in-laws, loved ones and friends.
Jeanette was born to Esther (Barker) and Earl Rayner at the family farm near Carlton, MN on March 11, 1937. Jeanette married James Baymler on June 15, 1957 in Barnum, MN. Together they moved to Wadena in 1965 where they continued to grow and raise their family and be very active in their community. Together Jim and Jeanette welcomed many foster children into their hearts and home over the years.
Jeanette was a long-time member of St. Ann's Catholic church where she was active in many church activities including Christian Mothers, St. Ann's Ladies' Aid Society, and Eucharistic Ministers.
Jeanette was also a proud member of the Wadena City Council beginning in 1999 and serving for many years as well as serving on the board of the Wadena Housing and Redevelopment Association beginning in 1982. Jeanette was also a founder of the Wadena Food shelf.
In honor of Jeanette's passion for helping people in the Wadena community the family suggests memorials be sent to the Wadena food shelf or a food shelf in your local area in her memory.
