The funeral service celebrating the life of Kenneth “Ken” Anderson of Wadena will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wadena, with Pastor Nate Loer presiding. Visitation will be held at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and will resume at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial service and private burial for Ruth Triebenbach of Wadena, will be held at a later date.
Peter David Anderson, 82 of King City, Calif. was born on August 21, 1940, at the family home in Wadena, Minnesota, the youngest of five children. After high school, he attended the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with a degree in math. During college, he rode the rails around the country, traveling by boxcar, and he worked summers at Yellowstone National Park where he met his bride-to-be, Jackie Kent.
John Michael Kauppi, 55, of Wadena, passed away surrounded by his family on August 11, 2022, at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota, after a short battle with metastatic melanoma.
Benedict Ignatius Ray, born July 21, died September 9th, 2022 at his home in Wadena in the arms of his parents. Born with a rare metabolic deficiency, Benedict’s time on this earth was short, but he blessed those he met with hope and lived up to his namesake--“that in all things, God may be glorified.”
The Mass of Christian burial for Catherine Radermacher of Wadena, was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena.
Funeral Services were held for James “Jim” Maloney age 79 of Deer Creek, Minnesota on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning, Minnesota with Pastor Keith Lankford officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Diane Hermanson. Pallbearers were John Ahlers, Michael Ahlers, Casey Maloney, Jason Maloney, Shana Ahlers, Chelsea Minderman, and Hayley Maloney. Jim was laid to rest in Compton Cemetery, Compton Township, rural Deer Creek, Minnesota.
