On Nov. 4, you will be asked to vote yes or no to a proposed amendment to the Minnesota Constitution. Voting yes means you will be voting for a tax increase. That's right, a tax increase. We just had an eight-cent-per-gallon gas tax shoved down our throats by our legislators. In addition, our county commissioners just increased our property taxes. We do not need another tax increase.

If you vote yes on the proposed amendment you will be voting to give more than $200 million per year to an organization that just misspent over $300,000 on a conference for DNR enforcement officers. The person in charge of the DNR enforcement division was forced to resign because of this.

If you vote yes on this amendment, you will be voting to give the Arts (whatever that is) close to $50 million per year. Is that where you want you tax dollars going?

Vote no on Nov. 4.
