I don't think we can blame either the Democrats or Republicans for the economic mess we are in. This country has been spending beyond its income for over 70 years, no matter which party was in control. The people are letting it happen.
They're lining up for all the benefits they can get their hands on with the excuse "if I don't take it, someone else will." Why would someone expect the "government" to take care of them?
Who is the government anyway? They have nothing that it hasn't first taken from us.
We as a nation and individually have been spending more than our incomes for so long, the day of reckoning has come.
Another more important issue: abortion. What nation can be blessed that legalizes murder for the convenience of the individual and call it a "right." At least vote pro-life. It is a start.
