As our last son has left for college we wanted to take the time to express our deep gratitude to the WDC school system for the many years they have taught our children. We have always felt gratitude but it is more apparent now that all three kids have graduated and have moved on to college and beyond. The administration, school board and teachers have shown dedication and commitment to excellence in education. We are so fortunate to have such devoted adults in the lives of our children.
Our kids remember fondly their elementary teachers who taught them to read, write and get along with others. There were songs, plays, school patrol and art projects. Life was good in elementary school.
In junior high, they remember having to master penmanship, figure out how to balance many classes, sports, music lessons and social time with friends.
Highlights in senior high are the band and choir trips, science experiments, attending volleyball games, sharing software on a palm pilot with Mr. Bjorge, basketball and gymnastics, seeing the lunch ladies during lunch, taking college classes, doing internships at a church and the hospital and the many relationships built with staff.
We want to recognize all those who teach, administer and serve in areas that benefit our children. We are proud of our school and all it has to offer students. We are a family who has been blessed.
