Attention liberals: to save you time to access a dictionary, may I give you the definition of socialism versus capitalism, republic?
Socialism: "A theory or system of social organization that advocates the ownership and control of industry, capital, land, etc. by the community as a whole. (In Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in transition of society to communism." One example: universal/national/socialized medicine.
Capitalism: "An economic system in which investment in, and ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations."
Republic: "A state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them."
Socialism is brought about by "gimme this, gimme that" demands by citizenry of the federal government, which eventually ends up controlling, instead of we the people. When there is this ignorance of history, societies become doomed to repeat it. It is gradual, so liberals don't recognize it. Our news media being one-sided as it is today is much to blame also.

As Benjamin Franklin left the Pennsylvania state house after the final meeting of the Constitutional Convention on Sept. 17, 1787, he was approached by the wife of the mayor of Philadelphia. She was curious as to what the new government would be. Franklin replied, "A republic, madam, if you can keep it."
