Dear humans,
Since I last checked in with you a couple weeks ago, I have decided to resume my curiosity about life outside of Otter Tail Lake. I would like to pick up my travels where I left off.
Just so you know, my one and only trip to Wadena eight years ago, when I evaded police, put such a scare in me that I did not leave my home for a very long time. I was diagnosed with den-o-phobia, fear of leaving my den. Thankfully, after years of therapy, I have resumed a normal life back in muskrat society.
Back to my travels. I heard through the muskrat grapevine that there is a human from Otter Tail, who was recently elected to represent my home area. How cool is that! However, they told me that he is far away from Otter Tail in a place called St. Paul.
Using my tracking sniffer, I followed a scent for a couple weeks of ditch scurrying and highway crossings (almost became road-kill a few times). Tally ho! I finally homed in on a building called the Capitol.

Rats! Nobody was there. Looking around, I wondered where all the humans were. My one chance to meet my representative, but it was Saturday!
Oh well, the trip here was exciting. I kinda like cross country traveling, now that I have had a taste of it. I just have to find a better means. I wonder if you humans would pick up a hitchhiking muskrat?
'Till next time,
Musky the Muskrat
