On Jan. 22 as we commemorate the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973 which legalized the murder of the unborn, let us be aware of the relentless push by certain factions of our society who seem intent on destroying human life. If you are not aware of the latest push to add even more atrocities to the anti-life mentality of our country just make yourself acquainted with the Freedom Of Choice Act or FOCA as it has become known.

If you good people do nothing to keep this bill from becoming law we will all lose again. Write, call or e-mail your elected officials and let them know you respect life and you expect they will too. The millions of lives lost through abortion and the millions of other lives adversely affected by those loses are having a terrible effect on our country. Just stop and think about it.

The fifth commandment says "Thou shalt not kill." In the Bible it also says the wages of sin is death. Look how our country is dying ever so slowly and subtly. I recently heard a knowledgeable person state that, "There will never be peace in the world until all life is respected."

Pray for those who have been killed by the lack of respect for human life. May they rest in peace.
