Darin Carstens' Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines used free throws to top Crosby-Ironton 80-72 Friday in an overtime conference game.
The Wolverines connected on 26 of 39 foul shots in a game which saw 51 fouls. The Rangers were 15 of 22 from the free throw line.
"I was really pleased with our offense and our balanced scoring," Carstens said. "We had six players with eight points or more."
Katie Swanhorst hit a clutch three with 10 seconds left to send the game in overtime tied at 67-all. Swanhorst made 21 of her 23 game points with seven treys.
Jordan Moenkedick, who scored 13 points, had a chance to win the game in overtime but the Rangers tied her up on a put-back attempt.

Courtney Volkmann and Avery Jackson each finished the game with 19 tallies. Volkmann, Jackson and Kendra Grothmann combined for WDC's six treys.
Brigetta Berg fouled out in the second half with eight points to her credit.
Carstens praised his bench for their solid play.
"We have some depth this year and that helps us late in games or with foul trouble," Carstens said.
The Wolverines will host Mid-State foe Staples-Motley Thursday.
